Arabic Translation Of SWC’s "Dismantling The Big Lie: The Protocols Of The Elders Of Zion" Now Available
A recent Pew poll confirmed that virulent antisemitism has taken hold even in countries like Lebanon and Jordan. Throughout the Moslem world, hate-preaching and the airing of an antisemitic mini-series on State-run television have all contributed to the rise of hatred of the Jewish people.
The impression most often invoked in mainstream societies is that of the Jew as conspirator in an alleged plot to control the world. That ‘big lie’ was first codified in the infamous The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, a hate tract written by agents of the last Czar of Russia and utilized by every antisemite of the 20th century including car magnate Henry Ford.
Now in an effort to provide the truth about the so-called ‘Protocols’ in the Arab World, the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s, Dismantling the Big Lie: The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, has been translated into Arabic.
Translated by veteran Palestinian educator Jamil M. Abu To'meh, with a special preface by Ehud Yaari, one of Israel’s most respected experts on Arab Affairs, the Arabic translation of Dismantling the Big Lie: The Protocols of the Elders of Zion is now available exclusively through the Center’s website at: http://www.wiesenthal.com/Arabic_tranlation.
In the last few years, there has been a dramatic rise in the production and distribution of hateful, even genocidal, antisemitic literature and programming throughout the Middle East. Today, The Protocols of the Elders of Zion is currently available for free in over 12 languages on the Internet, including Arabic.
The Center’s Arabic translation debunking the infamous forgery could not come at a better time. Israel’s Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center recently reported that The Protocols are still immensely popular in Egypt. Two new versions published and sold in bookstores in Cairo have been marketed throughout the Arab and Moslem world.
The Arabic translation was made possible by a generous contribution from Wiesenthal Center supporter Erica Rhine in honor of her late mother, Ruth Seidler.
