SWC Statement on ICJ's "Order" That Israel End its Incursion into Rafah

May 24, 2024

The United Nations top court, the International Court of Justice, just issued a directive that Israel immediately ends its incursion into Rafah.  This ruling by the ICJ exposes a blatant bias and abandonment of its mission to be a tool of justice.  It is not a court of justice or humanitarianism. It is not a court.  It has become the political arm of the UN.

Israel announced in advance its intent to act to remove the terrorists' encampments and moved over 900,000 civilians from the area.  It brought in tons of humanitarian aid— with Hamas stealing and reselling over $500 million of it. Irrespective of this corruption and this action by the ICJ, Israel continues its sustained efforts to minimize civilian casualties.

In the meantime, it and the United Nations maintain silence over genocides against the Uighurs in China, Christians in Nigeria, and the horrific humanitarian disaster emerging in Darfur, Sudan.

If the United Nations and the ICJ would like to contribute to peace in the Middle East, they would be better served working to force the terrorist Hamas organization to lay down its arms and release all Israeli hostages.
