“President Trump’s meeting with Nick Fuentes and Kanye West would be similar to a meeting of the President of the United States with leaders of the KKK,” stated Rabbi Marvin Hier, Simon Wiesenthal Center Founder and CEO who gave the invocation at President Trump’s inauguration in 2017.
The Simon Wiesenthal Center denounced former President Donald Trump for meeting with white nationalist Nick Fuentes and rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, at his Mar-a-Lago resort on Tuesday night.
Fuentes is a well-known white supremacist, anti-Semite and Holocaust denier. In 2019, Fuentes questioned whether 6 million Jews were murdered by the Nazis with this outrageous analogy: “How long would it take you to make 6 million? Hmm, I don’t know, it certainly wouldn’t be five years, right? The math doesn’t seem to add up…. I don’t think you’d result in 6 million, maybe 200,000-300,000 cookies,” he said. Among other slanders, Fuentes is quoted as saying “I piss on your Talmud. Jews get the f@#$k out of America."
“It is unacceptable that a former President of the United States who has announced his candidacy for a second term would meet with anti-Semites and an avowed white nationalist. The result of this meeting is the mainstreaming of bigotry at a time of surging anti-Semitism in the United States. The SWC urges President Trump to disavow Nick Fuentes and his anti-Semitic bigotry,” stated Rabbi Abraham Cooper, Associate Dean and Director of Global Social Action.
