This week, the Simon Wiesenthal Center commemorates the 29th anniversary of the death of Menachem Begin z"l. From 1977 to 1983, Begin was, not only, the Prime Minister of Israel, he was the leader of the Jewish people who took pride in Jewish tradition and Jewish education.
Beginning in the late 1970s, Begin had a long-standing relationship with the Simon Wiesenthal Center, frequently meeting with the Center's founder, Rabbi Marvin Hier. Mr. Begin is highlighted in three of Moriah Films' documentaries; In Search of Peaceand both The Prime Ministers: The Pioneers and The Prime Ministers: Soldiers and Peacemakers. |
