A Palestinian from East Jerusalem went on a rampage at the wheel of a construction digger, injuring 16 people, as he smashed into cars and a bus on a busy Jerusalem street before being shot dead by an Israeli reservist and a border police officer. The attack appeared to be a deliberate repeat of an incident on July 2 when another East Jerusalem Arab used a bulldozer to crush three Israelis to death on a nearby street.
