WIESENTHAL CENTER RELEASES ANNUAL REPORT ON NAZI WAR CRIMINALS

Center’s chief “Nazi hunter” travels from Israel to present report findings, including list of ten most wanted Nazis

Dr. Efraim Zuroff, the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s Israel Director and its chief investigator of Nazi war criminals, released the Center’s annual report on the “Worldwide Investigation and Prosecution of Nazi War Criminals” which covers the period from April 1, 2008 to March 31, 2009. The full 48 page report, complete with statistics on convictions, indictments, new investigations and ongoing investigations all over the world since 2001, is an invaluable resource for journalists covering the hunt for the last remaining perpetrators of the Nazi Holocaust. The report also contains a list of the ten most wanted Nazis and a “report card” with grades given to the various countries that should be dealing with this issue.

The briefing was held at the Center’s Museum of Tolerance, 9786 W. Pico Blvd. (corner Pico and Roxbury), Los Angeles, 90035. Copies of the report are available on request.
