WIESENTHAL CENTER: SON OF WANTED NAZI WAR CRIMINAL  MUST TAKE LIE DETECTOR TEST

Rabbi Marvin Hier, founder of the Simon Wiesenthal Center called on German investigators today to conduct a lie detector test on Rudiger Heim, son of Nazi war criminal Aribert Heim, in order to verify the truthfulness of his claim that his father did indeed die in Cairo in 1992.

Rabbi Hier said, “Given the fact that Rudiger lied about contacts with his father in the past, he has lost all credibility in this matter and at the very least should be required to take a lie detector test regarding his claim of his father's death.” Hier also welcomed the decision of German investigators to search for forensic evidence.

“Aribert Heim was a notorious murderer and we owe it to his victims that all efforts be exhausted regarding of the claims of his death,” concluded Rabbi Hier.

The Simon Wiesenthal Center is one of the largest international Jewish human rights organizations with over 400,000 member families in the United States. It is an NGO at international agencies including the United Nations, UNESCO, the OSCE, the OAS, the Council of Europe and the Latin American Parliament (Parlatino).
