Wiesenthal Center Launches Joint Jewish-Muslim Appeal to 56-State OSCE

Bucharest,

The undersigned commend the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) for its continuing attention to the respective scourges of antisemitism and discrimination against Muslims across the OSCE region.

We call on the OSCE Presidency and its Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) to encourage solidarity against extremism between the Jewish and Muslim Communities in its 56 states.

Despite events in the Middle East, Jews and Muslims in the OSCE region must stand in solidarity against all forms of prejudice and intolerance.

To do otherwise, will only serve the hatemongers who would target them both.
