WIESENTHAL CENTER DENOUNCES ANNE COULTER FOR REMARKS THAT JEWS NEED TO BE “PERFECTED”
The Simon Wiesenthal Center denounced remarks made by political pundit Anne Coulter on a recent edition of CNBC’s The Big Idea, hosted by Donny Deutsch.
“Ann Coulter's remarks that Jews needed to be perfected and America would be better off if everyone was Christian is deeply offensive and has been the classic language of antisemites throughout the millennia,” said Rabbi Marvin Hier, founder and dean of the Wiesenthal Center.
Hier continued, “She may have been a guest on CNBC's "Big Idea" but what she invoked is the oldest "Bigoted Idea," and she should apologize.”
The Simon Wiesenthal Center is one of the largest international Jewish human rights organizations with over 400,000 member families in the United States. It is an NGO at international agencies including the United Nations, UNESCO, the OSCE, and the Council of Europe. |
