SWC PRAISES FBI'S VIGILANCE IN ARREST OF FOUR US-BORN TERRORISTS IN ALLEGED PLOT TO BOMB SYNAGOGUES

Senior officials of the Simon Wiesenthal Center praised the vigilence of the FBI for arresting a ring of four would-be, homegrown Islamist terrorists.

"The shocking plan to blow up a Jewish house of prayer with what the jihadist terrorists thought were C-4 explosives is dramatic proof that the dangers from such fanaticism have not passed and that American Jews must maintain their vigilance," said Rabbis Marvin Hier and Abraham Cooper, the Dean and associate Dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, in a statement released from the Jewish Human Rights group. "We call on religious leaders of all faiths to condemn the targeting of a House of G-d by these would be terrorists."

The Simon Wiesenthal Center is one of the largest international Jewish human rights organizations with over 400.000 members. It is an NGO at international agencies including the United Nations, UNESCO, the OSCE, the Council of Europe, the OAS and the Latin American Parliament.
