July 24, 2024

American Jewish leaders were invited to sit down with Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu for a far-ranging discussion on the eve of the Israeli leader’s speech before a joint session of Congress. Reiterating how the Jewish state is challenged on multiple fronts, Prime Minister Netanyahu said that, “If we lose in Gaza, we have no future."

The high-level discussions included:

  • Pursuing the release of the hostages—alive and deceased.

  • Creating unity among Israelis, between Jews, and the need for non-partisan support between the US and Israel.

  • Concerns over Iran's support of global terrorism as well as its nuclear program.

  • Continued anti-Semitism on American campuses and on the streets of cities on both sides of the Atlantic.

  • The elimination of the Hamas terrorist organization.

The meeting included top diplomats, military advisors, and Jewish leaders from the Conference of Presidents of Major American Organizations, Hasassah, Anti-Defamation League, American Jewish Committee, B'nai B'rith, National Council of Jewish Women, AIPAC, the Orthodox Union, and the Simon Wiesenthal Center.
