SWC ASSOCIATE DEAN, RABBI ABRAHAM COOPER APPEARS ON INDONESIA'S Q-TV Simon Wiesenthal Center associate dean, Rabbi Abraham Cooper recently met with religious leaders in Jakarta, Indonesia, the world's largest Muslim country. In addition, Rabbi Cooper is believed to be the first American Jewish leader to appear on Indonesian television. A program entitled, "Tolerance Between Religions: Wujud Rahmatan lil Alamin (Manifesting Blessings for All of Nature)" was broadcast Q TV. Holland Taylor, Chairman of the LibforAll Foundation, which is an nonprofit organization working to reduce religious extremism and discredit the use of terrorism worldwide. It was established in 2003 by Mr. Taylor, an author and entrepreneur and former president of Indonesia and world-renowned religious statesman, Kyai Haji Abdurrahman Wahid. Rabbi Cooper also visited with Former Indonesian President Abdurrahman Wahid at his Jakarta home. The meeting covered issues ranging from terrorism to religious pluralism.
