SWC Statement on the Murder of Hersh Goldberg-Polin

August 31, 2024

The Simon Wiesenthal Center joins in mourning the death of Hersh Goldberg-Polin and five other Israeli hostages whose bodies were recovered by the IDF on Saturday. Goldberg-Polin's parents led the global campaign to generate support for the release of all hostages kidnapped by the terrorist organization Hamas. We pray for the recovery of all hostages alive and dead and denounce all those who support Iran-backed Hamas.

For further information, please email Michele Alkin, Director of Global Communications at malkin@wiesenthal.com or Erik Simon at esimon@wiesenthal.com, join the Center on Facebook, or follow @simonwiesenthal for news updates sent directly to your Twitter feed.

The Simon Wiesenthal Center is an international Jewish human rights organization. It holds consultative status at the United Nations, UNESCO, the OSCE, the Council of Europe, the OAS, and the Latin American Parliament (PARLATINO).
