MORIAH FILMS' ACCLAIMED DOCUMENTARY "IN SEARCH OF PEACE" FEATURED

The Simon Wiesenthal Center’s Moriah Films division is proudly featuring its acclaimed documentary, In Search of Peace this month in commemoration of Yom Yerushalayim (Jerusalem Day) when Jerusalem was victoriously reunified in June, 1967. The dramatic film footage of Israeli paratroopers capturing the Holy City is documented in the film.

"An unabashedly emotional and stirring inspirational history of Israel..." wrote The New York Times of In Search of Peace which is narrated by Michael Douglas (pictured) and features the voices of the late Anne Bancroft and Richard Dreyfuss.

Israel's first two decades are chronicled in the film which offers new insight into the origins of the Middle East conflict.

In Search of Peace also weaves together historical narrative, anecdotes, and dramatic personal stories, drawing on interviews with the leaders who helped make that history beginning with the United Nations partition vote in 1947 through the Six-Day War victory in 1967.

Combining rare archival film and photos, the documentary examines events in Israel, as well as the impact on other places - the Arab refugee camps, the United Nation’s General Assembly and the world capitals of Moscow, Paris, London, Buenos Aires, Cairo and Washington D.C.
