Survivors in Toronto, Los Angeles and New York to Participate in "Witness to the Truth"
TORONTO - On Monday, December 11/06 at NOON (EST), the Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies will convene, "Witness To The Truth", a videoconference of 70 Holocaust survivors (10 in Toronto) speaking to counter 70 Holocaust deniers attending the Iranian government-sponsored Tehran Conference on December 12/06. Each survivor will speak for five minutes.
Accredited journalists are invited to attend the Toronto videoconference at Videoconference Solutions, 20 Bay St., 11th Floor - Pacific Room. (Media Pool available).
Moderating the Wiesenthal videoconference from Los Angeles, Rabbi Marvin Hier, the Founder and Dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center said, "This (Tehran Conference) is an outrange and an insult to humanity that a country such as Iran would stoop so low as to deny the greatest crime in the history of civilization. That's why we have gathered Holocaust survivors who will give live testimony to counter the bigots and revisionist claims by giving first -nd accounts of what they actually experienced and witnessed and how their lives were shattered."
